These ceramic-coated “shorty” headers are designed for maximum ground clearance. They require the use of a 1965–66 non-HiPo clutch equalizer bar (see part number C5ZZ-7528ER) and late-1966 or later frame bracket mounts (approximately 1 inch higher than earlier mounts). Lakewood bell housings require additional clearance for header tubes. Use an export brace if shock mount center-to-center dimension is less than 33-3/4 inches (see part numbers C5ZZ-16A052E CH EC).
Tube size: 1-5/8 inch, collector size: 2-1/2 inch.

These headers have not received an exemption from these code sections and are not legal for sale or use in California on vehicles originally equipped with catalytic converters. It is illegal—except for racing vehicles, which may never be driven upon a highway—to remove or otherwise render inoperative any emission control device on regulated motor vehicles.
