Designed to fit 1966–72 Ford distributors with a single-chamber vacuum advance (Ford vacuum advance number C5AZ-12370-A or Motorcraft DD-190). The distributor can be identified by the number of vacuum ports on the vacuum advance chamber (single-advance chambers have a single vacuum port on the front of the unit).
With this unit, you can externally adjust the amount of vacuum advance from 0 to approximately 22 degrees while maintaining a show-correct stock appearance. Proper vacuum advance will allow your engine to run at maximum efficiency and power. However, incorrect ignition timing can cause pre-ignition (spark knock) and excessively-high engine temperatures – both of which can cause severe engine damage. Installation instructions included.
